Telstra agrees that Apple iPhone customers should download the latest software version (3.01) to fix a SMS vulnerability that can be exploited by hackers.

To access the update, customers should connect their iPhone to their computer, sync it to iTunes, then follow the prompts to download and install the new software.

The latest software was made available to Telstra's iPhone customers on 1 August 2009. For more about the software update: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3754
