The Telstra Pre-Paid Wireless Broadband device (ZTE MF626) does not support Windows 7 out of the box. However, a device firmware upgrade is available from the following internet link:

Please note:

For customers wishing to upgrade to a Windows 7 enabled PC or laptop:

  • These customers should download and install the firmware device upgrade for the USB modem, prior to use with Windows 7.

For customers who have already upgraded to Windows 7, or have purchased a new Windows 7 enabled PC, or laptop:

  • The preferred route, if the customer has access to an alternative, non-Windows 7 computer, is for them to use it to download and upgrade the firmware upgrade as described above.
  • If the customer does not have access to an alternative, non-Windows 7 computer, they can call Telstra on 1258880 for support and guidance on alternate means to updating the modem device.
